Men's Merino Crew Neck Base Layer

SUPERFINE MERINO BLEND TECHNICAL BASE LAYER

REVISED

Hamr is a lightweight and highly breathable base layer engineered from superfine Merino to keep you dry, insulated and comfortable. A perfect four-season all-rounder providing coolness in summer and warmth in winter.

The ethically sourced Merino feels soft against the skin, has excellent moisture-wicking properties and resists odour. The blended nylon makes it easy to care for and gives great stretch, durability and shape-retention properties. New roll-away thumb loops help insulate wrist capillaries, meaning warmer hands.

Superb

Really excellent quality design and thermal efficiency Warm comfortable great fit.

Thin baselayer

Warm and comfortable . Concerned whether it cast though as very thin ( almost see through ) Jottnar may consider making it slightly thicker to ensure it lasting .
It’s a first 4 stars I given for Jottnar clothing
Overall a great piece of clothing like everything else Jottnar make .

Great bit of kit

Super covering saving up for another one.

Not built to last

I've had 2 of these as base layers for climbing/mountaineering in wet conditions. The material rips easily when moist (just by sweat, not misuse) and I would suggest unsuitable for those doing high output activity. With both of my HAMR's the back top ripped rather than stretching slightly from carrying a rucksack. That being said, the feel was very good and it did keep me warm. I have a lot of other very good Jottnar products that I have recommended to anyone who'd listen, unfortunately just this one that seems to be off the mark, I'd recommend some of the more robust Arcteryx base layers or RAB do some thinner but still robust base layers.
