A LIGHTLY INSULATED, VERSATILE JACKET BUILT WITH POLARTEC® ALPHA® FLEECE
A technically sophisticated jacket for high output activity, with a windproof, water repellent outer and a Polartec® Alpha® inner. The perfect balance of warmth and breathability.
Developed for Special Forces, Polartec® Alpha® is an active air-exchange insulation system for temperature variations and stop-start conditions. Delivering consistent warmth and breathability, Alpha® releases excess body heat before saturation and discomfort.
Layer under a hard shell for regulated warmth when active, or wear as a standalone over a base layer. An athletic fit, stretch cuffs, harness compatible pockets, and an adjustable hood enhance performance and functionality.

This would be a 5 star rating all day if it was water repellent but it isn’t. It would also be 5 star if the description did not claim it is water repellent.
So if you want amazing temperature control when moving fast and excellent wind proofing as well as being comfortable, practical and cool, look no further.
The jacket is really warm but what you receive compared to what the jacket is purveyed as looking like are not the same. I have attached a pic to show.
My wife bought me this layer for Christmas and it has quickly become my favourite bit of Jottnar kit!
I found this winter that it was warm enough to keep me snug (under my Odin Shell) but was quite forgiving regarding heating me up too much when working harder in the snow.
I also love using it as an outer layer when the weather is dry and it works well both stopping wind and keeping me warm when I only have a baselayer under.
It looks like a light down jacket but really it is a polartec fleece. I found it is a really good balance between warmth and being light enough to allow easy management of your temperature.
Only wish is that there was a inner pocker in addtion to the two outer waist pockets, but really that makes it a excellent (the balance of lightweight to warmth).
