Fenrir Men's Hooded Down Jacket
WARMTH FOR MULTIPLE SCENARIOS
The Fjorm’s lighter sibling, designed for weight saving without compromising on features. The Fenrir is still stuffed with great warmth for weight 850 Fill Power goose down, in a premium 93/7 down/feather ratio. Our water-repellent down from DownTek™ stays dry 10x longer than untreated down. Unlike inferior versions, our water repellency won’t wash out and is free of harmful fluorocarbons. Our ethical approach to down sourcing complies with the Responsible Down Standard.
A water repellent rip-stop face fabric resists the wet, and potential moisture zones at the cuffs, hem and collar contain synthetic insulation. The Fenrir also features a cinched hood, stretch technical cuffs, and is supplied with its own stuff sack for easy carriage.

Superior warmth! I did get a feather or two popup thru the fabric. I assume this is a nature of the beast, but still would have assumed it wouldn't happen at this price point. Water proofing is pretty good. I haven't been able to drench it yet, so not sure about the drying time needed.
Weight to performance ration is just amazing. Worth it!
I initially ordered the ink blue in large but it felt a little too big so I emailed Jottnar for advice. They replied within 5 minutes and suggested that, with my height of 6'2" and weight of 175lbs, the medium might be a better fit. It arrived within a week and the material, shape, colour, warmth and sizing are all absolutely perfect. I've already been out in -4° with just a t-shirt underneath and didn't feel the cold. As predicted, 2 former Royal Marines would never risk the reputation of the Corps by failing to be professional or producing a sub-standard product. It's excellent and when I need more new gear I'll definitely be back
My new Fenrir jacket in Nightshadow colour just arrived and quite simply WOW. I as yet haven't tested it in cold weather, I trust however that it will do just fine in that regard also. The jacket looks simply amazing, the fit is absolutely perfect, I am 5"11, 86kg with a 42-43" chest, 34-35" waist and the Large can not be any more perfect. With Jottnar you will get a quality jacket and from my own personal experience just pick your normal size. I have always had issues with trim or tailored fit jackets but this one is just right, I just can not recommend it highly enough, it hugs you just enough to give you a flattering look while at the same time super comfortable. I went with my usual size, as it turns out the M would have been too small and the XL would have had me swimming in it, just go with your normal size, no sizing issues with Jottnar as with other brands. My gut was telling me that there would be no sizing issues, that is why I chose Jottnar over the other brands and I have been proven correct.
The jacket is great. I'm using it with temperatures down to -10C and it keeps me warm and nice with just a sweater and a t-shirt below. The hood fits above a beanie hat for extra protection. The jacket can be zipped up all the way to cover the mouth if you don't have a scarf. The Jottnar team is very kind and professional. I totally reccommend this purchase.
Cold alpine nights, Scottish winter belays, skiing the shaded side; the Fenrir Down Jacket hits the spot for me. 175cm tall and medium build, I got a size Small; I like to wear it under a shell when skiing down after a skin up, (this winter on some skin sessions up too!) The beefy filled hydrophobic goose down doesn't mind some moisture I generate skinning, and a shell moves really well over the outer fabric. Bombproof warmth without feeling bulky or restrictive.
The hood/collar design is excellent; it seals the neck (our chimney that can leach out warmth) so when it's zipped up, even with the hood down, it keeps warmth in the body very well. The hood fits over my climbing helmet and ski helmet comfortably for shiver belays and long chairlifts!
The nitty gritty; all zips and pockets work well with gloves, and the handwarmer pockets are great; the fill seems "full" over your hands. A neat wee stuff sack packs it away in a bacpack taking up very little space.
