An insulation evolution. A lighter-weight variation of our popular Floyen, the new Floyen LX is built for summer in the mountains – whatever the weather. Warm, windproof and water resistant, the Floyen LX gives the reassurance of warmth even when wet, with its blend of highly breathable Thermolite® insulation under a stretch windproof outer. Stash go-to essentials in the harness-compatible fleece-lined pockets or secure chest pocket. Slide up the slimline under-helmet hood if wind or rain threaten. Refined features include Jöttnar’s anti-snag hem cords, technical stretch cuffs, YKK® zips and a Durable Water Repellent finish.

The Goods!

I love this jacket! It is so light and incredibly warm. Breathes exceptionally well when in high gear. Best thing is when wet I still stayed comfortably warm. I have warn it when 15 f and was perfectly comfortable which is a real treat on those cold windy days hiking about. The quality of the make is also evident which I have noticed in all Jottnar gear. As an avid alpine mountaineer this jacket is just what I have been looking for, that perfect balance of insulation, wind protection, and warmth. Great work fellas!

Okay.. so I really couldn't afford it, but then there was "the offer". It has since become me. Wear it everywhere all the time. Bought the olive in a medium. I'm a "cat hair and string" body type. 5 10, 11 stone(ish). Bought the small first but this wouldn't allow for layers so moved up a size. Great bit of kit, rain so far just rolls off, wind kept at bay. Expensive but..

Perfect Combination

The Floyen LX has been a real treat! The amount of insulation is perfect for frigid cold but active days (15 f+). Even with a stiff wind I stayed warm as the combination of materials traps heat while at same time breaths keeping moisture build up to a minimum. The fit is perfect for me, a large, I am 6’1 and weigh 185. Once again Jottnar has impressed me with another well thought out design to keep one active out in the great outdoors! Equipment such as this inspires one to venture out knowing they will be comfortable fir the challenges at hand. I love and highly recommend the Floyen LX to those who can’t get enough of being outside even when the weather turns sketchy. Thanks once again. Lastly the quality of the materials and make are obvious. What a great business model you are perpetuating!
