Solid shell piece, but US customers be sure of your color and size choices

I really like the Jormun for its technical features and construction, however, the Fire Red colorway has a distinct orange tint to it that I didn't expect. At least to my eyes and everyone I've asked it does, so I wanted to return it.
Unfortunately returning the jacket to exchange for a different color is going to cost me at least $100. This is the second garment that I've had to return (first was sizing for the Fenrir) and the first time it cost $75. If you're ordering from the US, just be sure to look at the sizing chart closely and be aware the colors on a screen may not be exactly what you expect because returning items to the UK is expensive!

Outstanding piece

This Fall I decided it was time to replace my old and very worn out kit. I bought the Jorum mainly for summer backpacking and mountaineering trips. It is light yet feels bomber and has all the adjustments and perfect fitting to offer coverage when anger is present ( I am 6'1" 180...Got a large). We have had mild weather so far this winter with a few quick but intense storms. On a long vigorous hike I wore the Jorum in a blizzard with a heavy base layer. In my pack I had down as the idea of getting sweaty on the way up I wanted a dry layer beneath for the descent. Needless to say I was dry the entirety of the venture and did not need the down (temps were approx. around 22F with a stiff wind). This shell was just astounding in keeping me protected and bottling up the heat. I am so thrilled to have such a quality piece in my kit for mountain adventures. The fit is perfect allowing freedom of movement but not floppy. The breathability was also exceptional which is important for I am a sweater. Thanks for making such fine gear with purpose and qualities so vital to mountaineers. I am looking forward to years of comfort and reliability. I would write more but there is snow falling and I am going for a hike with Mr. Jorum...Cheerio....

Jormun | Ideal Jacket

Very well thought out and great mid-weight jacket.
Tough enough to be durable all day but light and packable enough to fit into a running bag for ultras.
Four pockets well placed and the pit-zips make temperature control easy.
Small fits well and a nice cut, with space for layering, 6' & 70kg.

Top Quality

Took this on a winter ascent of Mount Washington NH, temps in -5C range and I wore a merino base layer and this for the majority of the summit. The wind blocking is exceptional and waterproofness is top rate. The pit zips also help with temp regulating although no sign of claminess to deal with anyway. Gucci piece of kit.

So far so good

This is a well made, light jacket. The hood is very good and the materials used feel like they will withstand the test of time.
The pockets are particularly useful and, in my opinion, far more user friendly than the alpine style ones.
I’m 5’8” and 70kg and the small is a very good fit, with room underneath for a thick base layer and heavy weight mid layer.
Worn it in anger once, where it proved to be very waterproof and only slightly sweaty inside, underneath my rucksack. Opening the pit-zips soon resolved this.
All in all seems like a really good replacement for my 13 year old Rab Latok alpine, I even got it in the same colour. We’ll see if it lasts as well.
