Men's Lightweight Down Jacket

A hydrophobic goose down jacket for alpine conditions

A hoodless, collared version of the Fenrir, the Thorsen is designed for further weight saving and for those who prefer no hood. Stuffed with 850 Fill Power goose down, in a premium 93/7 down/feather ratio for an excellent warmth to weight ratio. Our water-repellent down from DownTek™ stays dry 10x longer than untreated down. Unlike inferior versions, our water repellency won’t wash out and is free of harmful fluorocarbons. Our ethical approach to down sourcing complies with the Responsible Down Standard.

A water repellent rip-stop face fabric resists the wet, and potential moisture zones at the cuffs, hem and collar contain synthetic insulation. The Thorsen also features stretch technical cuffs, and is supplied with its own stuff sack for easy carriage.

Lightweight and Very Warm

Have worn this Thorsen Down Jacket in -3degC. Very lightweight and silky comfort whilst keeping warm. Also lovely quality. Not worn it in rain yet but certainly performs in the cold. Quick delivery and great service. Will certainly use this company again. Many thanks.

Very light but warm

This jacket is very light and fits beautifully. It is nice and warm at 0+ temperatures with normal clothes underneath but would probably need good base and mid thermal layers in 0- temperatures. I bought it mainly for casual UK winter wear and for wearing under my 'oilies' when winter sailing.

Very pleased 😁

Hands down, the best jacket I’ve bought! I live in London (not extremely cold) and use it everyday!

Perfect for the city

This is a very nice piece of equipment that will keep you warm, but it won't protect your from extreme weather conditions. For outback hikers, winter sports, etc., I'd recommend to step it up. This down jacket is perfect for the city when you are on the move and want to travel light. I particularly like the fact it is almost weightless, but the outer shell fabric is paper-thin. I am yet to test it on the wet when it is raining outside, but I do not think it is going to perform well in that environment. As for the sizing, just to say I am 1.76 m tall and weigh in at 75 kg on the scales, but a medium size seems to fit me just fine.

Nice quality......will have to see if it’s warm in the winter

Good quality and ultra-lightweight.
It has great claims for warmth and fill, time will tell if it can live up to a Minnesota winter .......minus 70 deg C last year was the low.
Shipping and Customer Service were inadequate.
I will order more once this coat has lived up to the hype!!
