Soon after qualifying as a Guide, Jöttnar's Mike Pescod was avalanched on Aonach Mor, Scotland.
He broke his back, his pelvis, his ankle and some ribs. Being restricted to a bed for five weeks was one of the lowest points of his life.
Now fully recovered, hear his story about how the mountains drew him back in, helping him focus on the important things in life.
Mike Pescod is an IFMGA guide, and a member of Jöttnar's Pro Team. He is the founder of Abacus Mountain Guides, an outdoor guiding company based in Fort William, as well as being the author of the guidebook Winter Climbs Ben Nevis and Glen Coe.
