Men's Lightweight Technical Hoody

Like other Jottnar products, the quality is just superb - you can tell this is designed by people who know exactly what's needed in the hills and mountains.

Unfortunately, and this is of course very subjective, since 2024 the sizing for the tops (Svend, Verja) just feels off, while my 2023 products (Floyen, Magni, Asger) fit like a glove. Since then the L sizing has become too snug around the shoulders and over the elbows while the XL is too baggy for the rest of the body. It's hard to criticise such a refined product for something very subjective (I'm personally just a little sad about it since I absolutely love the kit and wish it would work better for me), so I'd just recommend people with more athletic builds to size up for a more relaxed fit.

As mentioned by others, thumb loops would be a great addition but you can tell this has been trimmed for lightness.

I really liked the original Summer 24 version Verja, but it did have a major flaw (I expect Jottnar items to be perfect, they usually are, and they are not cheap), the arm articulation was off and the whole shirt lifted ungainly when you raised your arms (this turned out to be much less of an issue in practical use than I thought it would). Going up a size helped a little, but was not a great solution. This new version is a big improvement, it doesn't solve the articulation completely (it's 90% of the way there), but it's enough to relegate it to a complete non-issue in practice for hiking. It is even more comfortable and better looking that the previous version. It has slightly thicker feeling fabric than some alternatives, but it does a great job of keeping you cool (note the 'active cooling' claim has been removed for the updated version - not sure if a feature has been actively removed, or if simply because it is a difficult thing to measure?). Really like the new 'Legion' colour. Worth the money, but there are still a few criticisms. Thumb loops have been removed - why? It's not the lightest, but if it is going to be primarily a 'worn weight' item that's a non issue for the performance on offer. Sizing has changed again (I'm between a L and XL in this - Sun hoodies work best for me slightly baggy in hot weather). L is about the same as before, but the XL comes up smaller (the difference between the two is less than the previous version). Almost perfect but have to knock a star off due to the high price, lack of thumb loops, and not 100% dialing in the arm articulation. Would I buy another? Yes.

The comfort of this product is five star,the material is perfect for my jottnar goosedown jacket and its colour is just as I imagined.Another dependable well made product that leads the classes once more.Thank you Jottnar.

Excellent Jottnar quality I’ve come to expect but I would say the sizing seems significantly smaller than my other Jottnar garments which are mostly shells and down jackets. I would recommend going a size up!
