A homage to our Norwegian heritage.

"Frosts shall be great then, and winds sharp; there shall be no virtue in the sun."

- Excerpt on the back of the t-shirt from The Prose Edda (13th century)

Senja Island

Arguably the most beautiful island in Arctic Norway, Senja's breathtaking landscape boasts majestic mountains, deep fjords, pristine beaches, and lush forests. The diverse and dramatic natural scenery provides a captivating backdrop showcasing the allure and beauty of Norway.

One of the most iconic mountains in Arctic Norway, Segla looks as inaccessible as any mountain could, commanding attention in a severe landscape scattered with raw natural beauty. Its unique and imposing west face ascends unimpeded from the sea, to the earth, to the sky.

Jöttnar's Roots

Jöttnar was born in Arctic Norway. Its founders, two former Royal Marine commandos, honed their skills as the world’s elite specialists in arctic warfare and survival by exposing themselves to Norway's extreme sub-zero conditions.

They tested gear to destruction. They know what works.

Using only what is necessary to craft outdoor gear which excels in both performance and style became the backbone and design philosophy for Jöttnar; and an everlasting homage to its Norwegian routes.

Prose Edda (13th Century)

The chosen excerpt featured on the back of the t-shirt derives from The Prose Edda:

The Prose Edda is Old Norse ancient literature written to explain the key tenets of Norse mythology. Unveiling not just the legends and myths, but all central protagonists of the culture; connecting the sea, to the earth, to the sky.
