Men's Lightweight Technical Hoody

The latest evolution of our sell-out summer ‘24 hoody. A lightweight, wicking, quick-drying, and ultra-breathable tech hoody built for high-output adventures and multi-activity use.

Designed for better sun protection by featuring long sleeves, a sleek under-helmet hood, and a UPF 40+ rating—essential when you’re pushing through sun-drenched trails or navigating high-altitude terrain in thinner air. The breathable, barely-there mélange fabric is soft, crease-resistant, and anti-odour treated, meaning easy packing and prolonged freshness. A drying loop adds on-the-go practicality alongside a 21g weight saving to its predecessor.

With a seam construction so refined, you’ll forget they exist; bonded sealed seams at the hem and low-profile merrow stitching throughout minimise chafe concerns over distance, and ensure any pack sits smoothly. Articulated seam panelling enhances mobility, allowing unrestricted movement through every stride, reach, and ascent.

The new summer essential.

Reviews displayed include the earlier edition of the Verja. We’ve kept them here to showcase the Verja legacy while introducing this latest version.

The comfort of this product is five star, the material is perfect for my jottnar goosedown jacket and its colour is just as I imagined.Another dependable well made product that leads the classes once more.Thank you Jottnar.

Great Jottnar quality but very small!

Excellent Jottnar quality I’ve come to expect but I would say the sizing seems significantly smaller than my other Jottnar garments which are mostly shells and down jackets. I would recommend going a size up!

Nice active base layer, came up a bit snug, no miracle cooling

Ordered in the sale, based on the spec of active cooling. I am known to generate a lot of heat and moisture when I am active, I am yet to find a layer that really cools/wicks. I was hoping for a miracle (maybe). Ordered a small and a medium based on the sizing charts my dimensions sit on the cusp of these sizes, turns out the medium feels snug and after a run, is difficult to get out of. The forearms also felt a little tight (but I am also a climber so hmm).

Ran with it "exposed" and under a light weight waterproof running jacket.

Did I feel the active cooling, hmm, maybe, felt "cooler" than my basic mesh fabric (technical fabric) tops from other companies, with cool areas on the chest and arms from the breeze, when worn as the only layer. Under a "breathable" waterproof, less so (but expected as the waterproof shell would prevent/reduce air flow).

The inside of the fabric seems to have horizontal striped weave of different thicknesses, which I assume is what is supposed to allow/promote cooling and is very thin (see through when held to the light), which so far has proved to be robust, but have noticed stitching stress noises when trying to remove from a sweaty torso!

Love the colour and matches nicely with my other Jottner garments. Love the hood nice under a helmet and to take the "chill" of my ears when running :)

Very light weight, well made top. Had to return first order due to size being “ athletic” to say the least! spring or summer wear only for me as it is light. If ordering I would order one size up
