Men's Lightweight Hybrid Fleece Jacket

A LIGHTLY INSULATED, VERSATILE JACKET BUILT WITH POLARTEC® ALPHA® FLEECE

A collared version of our popular Asger for those who prefer the versatility and weight saving of hoodless gear.

A technically sophisticated jacket for high output activity. A windproof, water repellent outer and a Polartec® Alpha® inner perfectly balance warmth and breathability, especially when moving.

Developed for Special Forces, Polartec® Alpha® is an active air-exchange insulation system for temperature variations and stop-start conditions. Delivering consistent warmth and breathability, Alpha® releases excess body heat before saturation and discomfort.

Layer under a hard shell for regulated warmth when active, or wear as a standalone over a base layer. An athletic fit, stretch cuffs, harness compatible pockets, and a close-fitting Alpha® fleece-lined collar enhance performance and functionality.

A lightweight piece of magic!

First worn on an incredible harsh wintery day in the Mourne Mountains, which aren't the most arduous. The weather was 25+km wind, -3 to -7 temperature (with wind chill), snow flurries being blown around with variety of sleet to rain, but this magical jacket kept me incredibly warm throughout. My first jacket I've purchase without a hood and I am thankful for it as I rarely put the hood up. The fluffy fleece polartec Alpha lining is where the magic is hidden with the rest of the jacket remaining lightweight, stylish, comfortable and ahead of the game.

Excellent piece of kit

My second Jottnar purchase and again very impressed with the product. Light but very warm when layered properly and affords great protection from wind chill and also shower burst, dries quickly

The warmth to weight ratio is unbelievable. This looks like an able replacement to my trusty Elvar, which I’ve had for years and years. I went up a size from my usual L, as I’d tried one previous and found it tight across my back / chest. I’m 95kg , 46” chest, 34” waist. The XL fits great if I pull the waist in a bit. Arms a wee bit long but no issue really. Another great product, very warm for its size. Top job guys.

Lightweight gem

Love the pared down simplicity that gives this a remarkable warmth and wind proofing for the weight. The combination of Polartec Alpha and rip stop shell is excellent. Stretchy cuffs, burly zip and decent sized pockets are well judged.
On me sizing is fine. I’m either Jottnar small or medium depending on desired fit. In this, small gives generous body and arm length, but not excessive. Even over just a base layer, chest is a snug but ok fit. Medium might be better for more layers and/ or mobility, but I suspect it would be over long on body and arms, as others describe.
Reminiscent of Marmot’s Windshirt of old, and sort-of like a lightweight Buffalo shirt - this IMO is better and more useful than either. Praise indeed. I’d buy a smock/ Buffalo shirt version. Also the hooded version but Jottnar, it seems hoods not always your strong suite (Dan Bailey review)? A minor redesign for next season and put me on the waiting list please.
Not for climbing thrutchy chimney routes or bar room brawls, but strong enough for sensible applications, which are many.
